Tajweed rules
Tajweed rules are the set of rules governing the proper pronunciation and recitation of the Quran. Here are some basic Tajweed rules:
Makharij al-Huroof:
This refers to the proper pronunciation of the letters and sounds of the Arabic language. Tajweed rules specify the exact points in the mouth and throat where each letter should be pronounced.
Madd:
Madd is a long vowel sound that is pronounced for a longer duration than a regular vowel sound. Tajweed rules specify how to properly extend the duration of the Madd sound.
Ghunna:
Ghunna is a nasal sound that is produced by closing the mouth and resonating the sound through the nose. Tajweed rules specify when and how to properly produce the Ghunna sound.
Qalqalah:
Qalqalah refers to the bouncing sound that is produced by certain letters when they appear in the middle or end of a word. Tajweed rules specify how to properly produce the Qalqalah sound
Idgham:
Idgham is the merging of two sounds in one place of the mouth. Tajweed rules specify when and how to properly merge sounds.
Ikhfa:
