COLOUR CODED QURAN

Colour coded Quran

The Tajweed Rule allows the reciter to emphasize the accent, phonetics, rhythm and temper of the Qura’nic recitation. But most of the people don’t know tajwid rules. The idea behind the colour coded Quran is to color the word’s letter that contains a Tajweed rule, so as the reader recites the Quran; he/she will be able to apply the correct Tajweed rule through the color of the letter. This colour coded holy Quran is also ideal for students of hifz who will easily recognize the various rules of tajweed. However, those who know tajwid rules or can learn it easily should read in a black & white Quran.

User Guide for Colour Coded Quran

The color-coded Quran is a popular tool for people who are learning to read and understand the Quran. The color-coded Quran features different colors for different types of text, which makes it easier to identify and understand the different parts of the Quran.

Tips on how to take help from a color-coded Quran:

Understand the color scheme:

Different publishers may use different color schemes, so it’s important to understand the meaning of each color used in the particular Quran you’re using. Generally, black is used for the Arabic text, while different colors are used to highlight different rules of Tajweed.

Use the colors as a guide:

The color-coded Quran can be used as a guide to help you navigate the text more easily. For example, If the pink colour is used for Ikhfa, then make sure to make a nasal sound when you see a letter in pink. If the Blue colour identifies the rule of Qalqalah, then make sure to bounce your sound when you see a letter in blue.

Study the rules of Tajweed in the meanwhile:

Remember, the color-coded Quran is just a tool to help you understand the text more easily. But reading with tajweed with the help of colours is not the ideal way. You should learn the rules of tajwid as well. So you can read with tajwid even when you don’t have the specific tajweed mushaf.

Seek guidance from a teacher:

If you’re new to reading the Quran, it can be helpful to seek guidance from a qualified teacher or scholar. They can help you understand the rules and how to apply them to read properly.
